Heron's Helpful Tools

Private browser tools for starting something and keeping it going. Pay once for the downloaded version and reuse it indefinitely. No account, subscription or network requests from the tool. No streaks to lose.

The tool counts, and I say what the count shows.

Built and published by Stratogenic Publishing. Heron is the fictional collection host, not a coach, clinician, author or validator.

Start gently

Small, non-judgemental starts for a difficult day, reconnecting with people or building an evening transition.

The Doing OK Checklist

A private checklist for low-energy days and for starting again from very little. It acknowledges each small thing you did, reads the day back, lets you make the list your own, keeps a five-week record on your device, and lets the screen grow warmer as the day fills in.

The Reach-Out Starter

A private 30-day starter for getting back in touch with people. Each day offers one small action towards one person, in three sizes, with short message starters and a thank-you register. It keeps the record on your device and reads the week back without a streak or account.

The Wind-Down Starter

A private thirty-night starter for building an evening transition one step at a time. Choose one to three small steps that help mark the end of the day, tick them on the nights you do them, and watch thirty stones fill as the screen settles. When the record shows the transition is holding, the weekly review offers one more step. It records which steps you ticked and nothing about how you slept.

Learn from reality

Keep a prediction before the result, then let the retained record correct what memory says afterwards.

How Long It Really Takes

A private record of your guesses about how long jobs will take, and what actually happened. You guess a range and say how sure you are, do the job, and record the minutes before you explain anything. Your guess is locked once it is saved, and the record shows how your results run against your guesses, kind of job by kind of job. It is a working version of Prediction Before Action from The Evidence-Based Life.

What If...?

A private record for a worry about something that has not happened yet. Name it, say when you will know, and guess two things separately: how likely it is and how bad it would really be. The guess locks when you save it, and when the moment comes you record what actually happened. A secondary Both sides mode helps with a decision you keep re-arguing: write the story, write the plain record, and underline what appears in only one version. The two records stay separate. The tool works offline, has no account and makes no network requests.

How the collection works

Useful, Then Quiet.

Each download contains one self-contained browser tool for a bounded moment. The tool makes no network requests, there is no account or subscription, and absence never becomes a lost streak.

Questions Before You Download.

What does private mean for a Heron tool?
Private means no account and no network requests from the tool. It does not mean encrypted, password-protected or private from another person using the same browser profile.
What does pay once mean?
Pay once for the downloaded version and reuse it indefinitely. Future major versions and continuing support are separate unless explicitly included.
Will my record sync between devices?
No. There is no account or cloud sync. Export a backup before changing browser or device, and store it somewhere appropriate; exported backups are not encrypted by the tool.
